Debrief: Princess Academy

Updated: May 20

What can I learn from Princess Academy? How can I avoid prejudice? How can education practically impact my world, and even my everyday life? How do my beliefs affect what I do and who I become? What is my linder?

Thank you for your thoughts and comments! I love that idea that education not only empowers yourself but changes those around you. Miri's knowledge on "Commerce" changed the lives of everyone on Mount Eskel. I think that is why it is so crucial to educate yourself because education has a far outreach - it determines the level at which you (and others) can contribute to the world.

Thank you, Abby! This is such a key insight! Recently, a friend explained another way for me to view the connection between responsibility and power, and I think it also applies to knowledge and power. Knowledge is power when it is used to accomplish our life missions—and to have knowledge but to avoid using it to better the lives of others? That is a human tragedy!

Thank you both for the great insights! I have enjoyed reading “Princess Academy” and loved the many great take aways - the importance of education, kindness, having a vision for your life, not taking things for granted, getting to know people before casting judgements, seeing the beauty in the world around you and in others, etc… So many good gems that I didn’t remember from this book! It was a joy to read again and I always enjoy hearing your thoughts and this fun debrief! 💛

You are so 100% welcome, and thank you! We loved making this debreif, even if we're still in the learning process hardcore. 😊

Well done, two of my handsome grandsons. You have hit excellent points. For those who believe in the Holy Ghost, I saw the connection of this through the Linder when Miri and the girls needed their families' help, it came to me. Something to ponder on if you wish.
